FLAGSTAFF - Get ready to hit the slopes.
The Arizona Snowbowl ski resort north of Flagstaff is opening for the season at 9 a.m. Saturday, thanks to the latest winter storm.
The resort says the storm dumped between 14 and 26 inches of snow on the mountain in the past 24 hours. It has a base of 30 inches at 9,500 feet and 47 inches at mid-mountain.
The Flagstaff Nordic Center, which offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, opened Wednesday. The Sunrise Park Resort in eastern Arizona plans to open for the season Friday.
